Health & Wellbeing Workshops

For Employers

Employer Healthy Workstyles Programme Series

Enlightened employers are recognising the importance of developing an Employee Health and Wellbeing programme from a range of perspectives including establishing a positive working environment; improved engagement and productivity; reduction in absenteeism and presenteeism, employee retention and much more! Creating healthier workplaces today and for the future not only has a positive impact on employee health and wellbeing but on their families and wider society. This positive impact can link to Corporate Values, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) goals and Purpose driven organisations.

This workshop series has been created for Managers to explore the challenges of employee health and wellbeing in today’s workforce. The 3 workshops in the series are integrated and allow participants to develop their knowledge and understanding and will explore how the organisation can work collaboratively to achieve happier, healthier and more engaged employees.

Workplace Health and Wellbeing –

Current Challenges

Provides an overview of the current issues facing employers today.

This introductory session is designed to provide an overview of the current issues facing employers and the fact that today there are greater responsibilities in relation to employee health and wellbeing. The presentation includes the challenges of lifestyle related diseases in relation to sickness absence; disengagement; the remote workforce; the ageing workforce, and risk prevention. It will consider the benefits of establishing a Health and Wellbeing programme in collaboration with employees. (Maximum of 20 participants)

Converting Challenges

into Opportunities

Explore in more detail the current issues facing employers.

This interactive workshop builds on the introductory presentation exploring in more detail current issues facing employers (although it is preferable, it is not essential that participants have attended this to take part). Prior to the workshop, participants will be asked to identify 3 main issues they believe are affecting the health and wellbeing of employees within the organisation resulting in absenteeism and presenteeism. These specific issues will then be analysed by the HWC team and used to develop a bespoke workshop, tailored to meet the organisation’s needs. Organisational values and culture will be contextualised and explored. Different types of absence; scheduled, unscheduled and partial shift absences will be considered in relation to issues raised by participants. The HWC team will explore what measures can be put in place to convert challenges into opportunities to improve employee health and wellbeing to reduce absenteeism. (Maximum of 20 participants)

Taking the next step

Participants undertake a full ‘Strengths, Challenges, Opportunities and Threats’ analysis.

This interactive workshop has been designed to be delivered 3 months after the ‘Converting Challenges into Opportunities’ workshop. This timescale will give participants and the organisation time to introduce any activities/initiatives identified through participation in the series. As a group, participants will undertake a full ‘Strengths, Challenges, Opportunities and Threats’ (SCOT) analysis in relation to the organisational goals. Each aspect of the SCOT analysis will be explored and ways forward identified as a group. Key areas such as CSR, sustainability, ROI, positive engagement will also be discussed. By the end of the workshop, an organisational Health and Wellbeing action Plan (HWaP) will be developed with realistic timeframe and outcomes identified.

Bespoke stand-alone health and wellbeing presentations, workshops and programmes

The outcomes of the Employer Workshop Series can be taken forward as the first stage of the development of a unique workplace health and wellbeing strategy for your organisation. The Employee Workshop Series can be rolled out after the ‘Converting Challenges’ Workshop has been completed and this will provide good data from the management and employee perspective.

Bespoke stand-alone health and wellbeing presentations, workshops and programmes can be designed to meet your employees’ specific needs.
